Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College, Sangli was established in 1997 to satisfy the pressing demands of the public to provide legal education to the students in and around Sangli. Particularly to those who come from the rural areas of the district. Since then, we have been taking strenuous efforts to train the youths to be competent lawyers and legal professionals. We make them imbibe human values and a sense of social commitment. We teach them to be honest to their Professional ethics and strive for their all round development.
Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College, Sangli is run by one of the India’s prominent and esteemed educational institutions Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. Our college is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Sangli, the place where Bharati Vidyapeeth's New Law College is located has developed into an important city with a wide network of private business and also numerous Government and Co-operatives sector organizations. This has led to increasing demand for legal experts and professionals.
The professional excellence and corporate life has given rise to large numbers of courts, tribunals, business or corporate houses which are in need of legal experts. To meet this demand and to cater to the needs of the students in and around Sangli District, who are desirous of studying Law and to bring the knowledge of law and within easy reach of the common person, Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College, Sangli was established in June 1997. It has been our constant endeavor to impart high quality of legal education and training to our students. The college while imparting the legal education has kept a goal in view, that professional lawyers must be well equipped to perform the various roles which lawyers are expected to play in our society. In its short lifespan from year 1997 till date it has done tremendous work in legal education through various activities and courses offered. The college has won the appraisals of students, parents and legal luminaries as a premier legal institution within the jurisdiction of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. From its year of establishment till today every year our students secured place in the merit list of Shivaji University Kolhapur.
