Free Legal Aid and Counseling Centre
The Center has taken independent and joint initiatives to strengthen the legal aid and legal literacy programmes for making justice accessible to those who cannot afford it. The center undertakes the following activities:
- Provide Pre-marital & Post-marital Counseling
- Through legal literacy camps and capacity building programs educate/empower people on their rights and how to access them.
- Provide legal services to the disadvantaged and marginalized sections of the society.
- Develop a strong networking and collaboration with NGOs, Government Institution and communities to ensure equal justice to all.
- Undertake community based research projects to understand the working of laws and be part of the law reform process.
- Initiate social lawyering through Public Interest litigations to protect and promote ‘public Interest’.

Career Guidance and Placement Cell
The Department of Placement & Training is the backbone of any institution. It has been constituted in the college to facilitate recruitment of students. So far our students have been placed in companies like The Career Guidance Cell at The New College functions under the direct control and directions of the Principal of the College. A team of Professors nominated by Principal work together to guide the students on Career opportunities.
The objective of the cell is to identify the talents available among the students of this College and nurture and harness them further and offer guidance to choose a bright and right career.
The activities of the cell include collecting the database of the students and compiling them for use when needed. The cell facilitates the students to improve their skills to face various competitive exams such as civil service exams conducted by UPSC and MPSC. The Career Guidance Cell organizes seminars and meetings to encourage the students to plan their future. The cell also facilitates the economically weaker sections of the students of first and second year undergraduate courses to find suitable part time jobs to supplement the family income without affecting the academic pursuit.
Objectives are :
- Developing the students practicall knowledge and soft skills to meet the corporate recruitment process.
- To motivate students to develop their overall personality in terms of career planning, goal setting and re-skilling which will take them to good stead even after getting the job.
- To motivate students to aspire for higher studies and guiding them to take competitive exams such as JMFC, MPSC, UPSC & LAW officer
- To place the maximum number of students in top notch companies through campus & off-campus interviews.
