NSS Cell
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage.
NSS Day
NSS was formally launched on 24th September, 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of the Nation. 24 September is celebrated every year as NSS Day with appropriate programmes & activities.
NSS Motto
The motto of NSS is ‘NOT Me But You’. This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other person’s point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings.
All students admitted to the University are free to apply for NSS membership. Application in the prescribed format may be submitted to the NSS Cell in the beginning of Monsoon Semester during the month of August and the notice regarding enrollment is circulated by NSS Cell every year mentioning vacancy and other details.

NSS Activities
भारती विद्यापीठाचे न्यू लॉ कॉलेज, सांगली नेहमीच सामाजिक कार्यात सक्रिय असते मग ते महापूर असो वा कोरोना सारखी वैश्विक महामारी असो. कोरोना काळात सुद्धा महाविद्यालयाच्या NSS च्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी समाजकार्य चालूच ठेवले. टाळेबंदीमुळे विटा या ठिकाणी अडकून पडलेल्या 9 बिहारी कामगारांना NSS चा विद्यार्थी ऋषीकेश पाटील याने त्यांना 1 महिना पुरेल इतक्या सामानाचे किट मिळवून दिले.
तसेच गेली दिड वर्ष झाले कुस्तीची मैदाने बंद आहेत त्यामुळे उमद्या पैलवानांना खुराक मिळवणे अवघड झाले आहे. त्यांच्यावर उपासमारीची वेळ आली होती ही बाब समजताच ऋषीकेश पाटील याने इतर स्वयंसेवकांना बरोबर घेऊन पैलवानांना लागणाऱ्या खुरकाचे वाटप केले.
तसेच ऋषीकेश पाटील याने स्वामी विवेकानंद कोविड केअर सेंटर सांगली या ठिकाणी 8 दिवस स्वयंसेवक म्हणून रुग्णसेवा केली. त्याला याकामी महाविद्यालयाच्या प्राचार्या डॉ. पूजा नरवाडकर यांचे बहुमोल मार्गदर्शन लाभले. तसेच NSS चे समन्वयक प्रा. प्रशांत जरंडीकर व प्रा. श्रेयश मोहिते यांचे मार्गदर्शन लाभले.
